Energy, today we had the opportunity to build wind turbine's in a small group. Working in groups is not always simple and often times is downright challenging. If there were one thing that you could change about your group what would it be and why? OR If there is nothing you want changed tell us the three things your group are doing well.

After seeing the calendar for the rest of the program, sharing our ideas about the exhibition in the common area, and the directions presented in our groups; what obstacles do you foresee as something we need to overcome? How is this program different than "school"?

Today is our first day of online journal prompts. Answer each question to the best of your ability. All comments must include your name and will be used as evidence of participation for that day. Students without comments posted by the end of each day will be in jeopardy of credit accumulation.

Welcome to the Montessori Summer Program 2008. Montessori is offering a unique summer program to enable students to recover credits through a project based learning experience. This year we will be examining our relationship with the world around us through the lens of our human footprint. Students will explore the use of resources, while measuring today's choices against tomorrow's costs. Students will help to direct the focus of study throughout the two-week period, and togther we will ask essential questions, research information and create understandings. We hope to enable students to master depth in content areas so that they will be resources to their cohort in September. This program is not only about credit recovery, but also developing a new vision of ourselves as learners, and citizens of the world.
