Welcome to the Montessori Summer Program 2008. Montessori is offering a unique summer program to enable students to recover credits through a project based learning experience. This year we will be examining our relationship with the world around us through the lens of our human footprint. Students will explore the use of resources, while measuring today's choices against tomorrow's costs. Students will help to direct the focus of study throughout the two-week period, and togther we will ask essential questions, research information and create understandings. We hope to enable students to master depth in content areas so that they will be resources to their cohort in September. This program is not only about credit recovery, but also developing a new vision of ourselves as learners, and citizens of the world.Monday, June 23, 2008

If i had 24hours to live and I would have tell someone about the 11thhour. I would tell them that the economy and the people are destroying the earth by the pollution. Try to not litter and keep from polluting the air.
if i had 24hrs left before i die i would tell them to stop polluting the air and stop cuttin down the trees because that kills the enviornment and then that what creates deserts.
I've changed myself in alot of ways because i used to play my game and listening to the radio but now i dont do that anymore.....written by:john day
1)One change i can make in the world would be stop littering i would be one less person polluting the earth.
2)well i didnt see the movie but what i knoe about it, its about pollution and global warming. I would tell someone to stop[ polluting to prevent the ozone layer from depleeting more than it already is
today i had made a change within myself this morning to get up and arrive to summer school. This change has a big impact on me for my future so that i graduate in time and be successful in my future choices.
if i was to die within 24 hours i will talk to the news people on t.v. i would put this out into the world about all the changes that are goin on and people are dyin so that people can see this and help themselves. this is what i would do in 24hours
Changes that I could make to change either the community,the world, and in myself is that I would stop littering. I could make a change in the community by talking to people in the untied powers.The world idk about because it takes more than one person to change the world.
I plan to stop using aresol hair spray it will help the global warming helping the ozone layer. Unplug the cellerphone charger, stop using the air condition, turn the lights off, and turn off the computer to save electricity. Also stop littereing gum wrapper around. Walk to the store instead of using the car.
If i had to tell someone about the 11th hour I would tell them that global warming is a big issue. The actions that I do affect others. Animals are losing a habitat to live in. Human are losing resources. Media and technolgy has made us adapt to a new nature to depend on new products then depend on ourselves. Its really chocking to know the things that happen in the world. Like the people that dump garbage into the ocean destroys the environment. With global warming it also affects us, being open and attracted to harmful diseases and other bad things.
if i only had 24 hours to live the person i would talk to the goverment.I will tell them that they need to change whats going on in the world before it comes to an end. i would tell them to watch the movie for themselves because thats thats the only way it would persue them to make a change of how our life style is today.
after watching that movie i learned that we have to better ourselves to save our enviroment. so i decided to help out the world by not littering , saving electricity , and planting more plants. the warning that i would like to pass on is stop destroying our atmosphere!!
the three next steps to completing my project are complete finding resherch,putting all my thoughts and information on paper and and creating a chart.the two things that i will do differently next week is i will try to finish my first draft and complete all work that needs to get done that will help me gain credits.i have learned that if 1 person makes a little change in their life it can impact and change the way others think.
