Journal Day 2

After seeing the calendar for the rest of the program, sharing our ideas about the exhibition in the common area, and the directions presented in our groups; what obstacles do you foresee as something we need to overcome? How is this program different than "school"?

we need to learn how to work as a group so that we can we can all agree on one idea and make it into something great. We can also build a successful turbine with the help of our peers by working together.

This program is different than school because we get the opportunity to choose what we wantef to do. We have the choice to build and make learning more interesting for the summer.

This program is different from other schools because we work as a group and still cover all our subjects that we didn't pass. The obsticals that we need to overcome that we foresee is managing time. We need to manage our participation, and get things done orderly. Everthing needs to be organized so all the processes will run smoothly.

As a group we believe that making the windmill will be the most difficult part of the program. We also believe that glueing the cardboard to the bottle will be a little dangerous, aswell as using the knife. This project will be a good way of showing we care about the environment.

My group and I believe that the obstacles to overcome is take control of our own project and have high confidence in ourselves. As well as reading and understanding what we are doing and if we do it wrong once we would take a deep breath , not stress ourselves and do it over. This program is very different from school because we get more attention and one on one time with the teachers, the classes or groups are small and everyone works together. Its also different because its project based and more hands on than reading a textbook and taking notes in a big classroom. My group and I agreed that regular school should be like summer school.

After Seeing the Calendar we feel that the program is teaching us about the environment and what we need to overcome. The common area Project is going to be fun but we think that it’s going to take a lot of work and we don’t think that it’s going to work out. This program is different than because it’s more challenging, it’s more hands-on work and the school day is longer which is not easy for most of us because we began to get Restless.

As a group the obstacles that we foresee for the rest of the program is our individual piece. Getting all the materials correct.

This porgram is different from school because you get more one on one time with teachers and it's more hands on work. Also it's a commitment that you have to make.

Our group has agreed that we will all work to our full potential to do our parts in completing our project. We feel that the wind turbine is an interesting project and hope that we'll be very successful.

Our group feels that this program is different from school because we are earning our credits by doing one main project as a group, as to school we work seperatly during the year. In regular school we don't really get the chance to take part in making up our projects and contribute our feelings towards the work we get.

12.this program is diffrent from regular school because we dont do the same work we do in regular school. this type of project that we are doing we wont do in regular school and there is students from diffrent grades doing one project in groups.

Summer school is different from regular school because you have a one on one with the teacher, hard but fun work and also hands on activity. We also share classes with students from different grades which we think is very fun and interesting.
One of the hardest thing would be working on a short time and accomplising all tasks to earn credits

We need to learn how to stop arguing and playing around. We also need to communicate better, do our work. We also need to follow instruction, cooperate with each other, and work as a team.

This program is different than "school" because it is more hands on, its more physical, and it's alot shorter, easier to concentrate, topic are more interesting, and we can see how it relates to life.

Its way more stricter than regular school. You dont have to stay for 6 weeks. Its a better opportunity becuase we work as a whole. The common area is going to be a exhibition that will show our students the value of other things such as materials

Obstacles that i see that we need to overcome is that we need to become better teammates and learn how to cooperate with others so that we can listen to one another and accomplish more objectives. This program is different from school because schools seems more boring and does'nt realy let us express ourselfves throgh our work. This program helps us become more cooperative and allows us to learn more.
